On this tour as on every other, we were highly motivated and only too happy to help.
On 28.09.17, two groups of Year 8 pupils from Alfred-Nobel-Schule in Geesthacht paid us a visit. In order to give the young pupils an insight into our industrial company and machinery construction, Mr Büchner, our Marketing Manager, started the tour with a little presentation about the company.
iNTERSPARE offers its trainees plenty of flexibility, which is why Anna, one of our trainees in the second year of her apprenticeship to become an industrial manager at iNTERSPARE, gave her classmates at the vocational college a tour of the company’s facilities.
125 Years of VDMA in the North - “Ik schnack di platt”
iNTERSPARE - VDM 125th Anniversary Celebrations VDMA Around 200 members gathered aboard the MS Koi for a networking event and celebration as the ship set off on an alternative tour of the harbour, past 40 stations with connections to machinery construction and into the harbour basin itself, which is otherwise rarely seen by the public. After a welcoming address by VDMA Vice President Norbert Basler, those present who had witnessed the harbour’s development held a short discussion about “our” contribution to the sound in the Elbphilharmonie, to energy production in the Moorburg power station and to steam production aboard museum ships, as well as the various components for modern ships. Yared Dibaba acted as moderator and bandleader to provide a good, North German atmosphere.
